"So good he was stolen" is an 18" x 24" screenprint on paper designed by Erin Kendrick and printed by Master Printmaker George Cornwell. This screenprint is 1 of 4 designs created for my solo exhibition, The Hotelmen, which was shown at Crisp-Ellert Art Museum at Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL in 2022. The exhibition honored the lived experiences of the Cuban Giants, the first salaried Negro League, baseball team. Founded by Frank Thompson, the black baseball entrepreneur and Head Waiter of the Ponce de Leon Hotel in St. Augustine, FL, who helped transform black baseball into a commercial enterprise.
